
According to some reports, it looks like the Dallas Stars will buy out Ryan Suter's contract. The Stars will save $1.4 million in cap space after buying out Suter.
Suter, 39, has one year left on his contract at $3,650,000. He was given a four-year deal by the Stars after the Wild bought out Suter in 2021.
The former Wild defenseman played in all 82 games each of the three seasons he was with the Stars. He recorded 12 goals, 62 assists, and 74 points in 246 games with the Stars.
In his nine seasons with the Wild, Suter recorded 55 goals, 314 assists, and 369 points in 656 games. He ranks second all-time in Wild history in assists and is second in points amongst defensemen. His 656 games rank fifth all-time in Wild history.
