Danila Yurov left Wild practice early as a precaution, and coach John Hynes said the forward’s status for Minnesota’s upcoming game against Buffalo remains uncertain.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Wild forward Danila Yurov left practice early on Monday and his status for the team’s upcoming game against the Buffalo Sabres is uncertain.

Wild coach John Hynes said Yurov’s early exit was precautionary, but he did not know yet whether the forward would be available when Minnesota travels to Buffalo.

Yurov had been centering the Wild’s first line to begin the season. With him unavailable for the remainder of practice, Minnesota shuffled its bottom six, moving Michael McCarron between Yakov Trenin and Bobby Brink. They moved Ryan Hartman up to the first line.

Marcus Foligno, Nick Foligno and Nico Sturm comprised the fourth line.

Kirill Kaprizov skated alongside Hartman and Maxim Shabanov, while Blake Coleman, Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy remained together on the second line.

Yurov’s status is worth monitoring after he appeared in each of Minnesota’s first two games of the season.

The Wild have started the year 2-0-0 and are preparing to continue their road schedule in Buffalo. If Yurov is unable to play, McCarron’s move into the middle of the third line during practice provides an early indication of how Minnesota could adjust its lineup.

For now, though, Hynes characterized Yurov’s departure as precautionary, leaving his availability for Buffalo up in the air.
