The former Wild forward Connor Dewar is set to go to arbitration with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Dewar, 25, joined the Maple Leafs in March after the Minnesota Wild traded him for Dmitry Ovchinnikov and a 2026 fourth-round draft pick. He had one goal and four assists in 19 games for the Leafs but played in six playoff games.
The Maple Leafs and Dewar can continue to work towards a contract in the meantime. Arbitration cases are scheduled between July 20 and Aug. 4.
If the team can't agree upon a deal before Dewar's case starts then a third party will decide on Dewar's compensation for his next deal.
The 5-foot-10 center played in 173 career games with the Wild across three seasons. He recorded 18 goals, 20 assists, 38 points, 99 blocked shots, and 266 hits.
