With an assist in last night's game against the Blackhawks, Brock Faber tied a Wild franchise record for most points in a single season by a rookie defenseman.

Faber, 21, has four goals and 30 points in 50 games this season for the Wild. He notched an assist on Marcus Foligno's game-winning goal against Chicago.

The Minnesota native also has tied the Wild's franchise record for most assists by a rookie. He tied Calen Addison who had 26 assists as a rookie during the 2022-23 season.

Faber's 30th point tied Filip Kuba for the most in a rookie season which was set in the Wild's inaugural season in 2000-01 when Kuba put up nine goals and 30 points in 75 games.

His assist helped the Wild earn their 11th consecutive victory versus the Blackhawks dating back to Feb. 4, 2020. That marks Minnesota’s second-longest winning streak against one opponent in franchise history behind a 13-game run versus Anaheim from Jan. 20, 2021, to Dec. 21, 2022.
