The former Wild defenseman has been released from his PTO.
The former Wild defenseman was signed to a Professional contract by the Ottawa Senators towards the end of September. He has now been cut from his PTO.
Addison, 24, played 92 games with the Wild. He was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins in a deal that sent Jason Zucker the other way. He was later traded to San Jose.
Minnesota acquired forward Adam Raska and a fifth-round pick for Addison. The Sharks let him go after he played in 60 games and was a minus-35.
The Senators signed him to a professional contract where he lasted a lot of training camp with, but the Senators made a bunch of roster moves Saturday and Addison was one of them.
In 152 regular season NHL games with the Wild and Sharks, Addison has recorded six goals and 44 assists for a total of 50 points. He is now a free agent.
