
Former Wild players Ryan Suter and Sam Steel have been eliminated from the playoffs.
Only one former Wild player remains in the race for the Stanley Cup after the elimination of the Dallas Stars.
The Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers will square off in the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Finals. Dmitry Kulikov of the Panthers, is the only former Wild player to be in the finals.
Both Ryan Suter and Sam Steel have been eliminated from the playoffs after the Stars lost to the Oilers 4-2 in the Western Conference Finals.
Suter, 39, played in 656 games across nine seasons in Minnesota. He recorded 55 goals, 314 assists, and 369 points. He is the Franchise leader in assists for defenseman and is second in points behind Jared Spurgeon.
Steel, 26, played one season for the Wild in 2022-23. He had ten goals and 28 points in 65 games and signed a one-year contract with the Stars the year after. In 19 playoff games for the Stars this year, Steel had one goal and five points. He is an RFA now.
