
The former Wild defender Ryan Suter,scored his first goal with his new team in the second game of the season.
Suter, 39, signed a one-year contract with the Blues for an average annual salary of $775,000 which included up to an additional $2.225M in performance bonuses if met.
He signed a four-year deal with the Dallas Stars after the Wild bought him out. In what was supposed to be year four of his contract, the Stars bought him out and the Blues signed him.
The 6-foot-1 defenseman is making close to $9M this year if you take into account the three teams that are paying him. The Wild are paying him $7,371,795, the Stars $783,333 this year and $1,433,333 next year, and the Blues are paying him $775,000.
In his nine seasons with the Wild, Suter recorded 55 goals, 314 assists, and 369 points in 656 games. Suter ranks second all-time in Wild history in assists and is second in points amongst defensemen.
