The Dallas Stars recently bought out long-time Wild defender Ryan Suter, after he played in 82 games all three seasons in Dallas.
They replaced the 39-year-old defensman with another former Wild blueliner in Matt Dumba.
Dumba, 29, recorded four goals and 12 points in 76 games last year for the Arizona Coyotes and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He finished tied for 11th among d-men with a career-best 202 hits. During the Stanley Playoffs last year, Dumba played in all five games with the Lightning and led the club in hits with 25.
Dallas signed Dumba to a two-year contract worth $7.5 million with an average annual value of $3.75 million a season.
The former Wild defensman ranks second in goals with 79, fourth in points with 236, and fifth in games played at 598 among Wild defenders all-time.
Stars fans will have to forget what Dumba did to them in the 2023 Playoffs, his hit on Joe Pavelski, as he is now a member of the team for the next two seasons at least.
