The San Jose Sharks have some decisions to make before the free agency window opens and it appears they already have a plan in place.
Filip Zadina, Luke Kunin, and Calen Addison are three expiring restricted free agents that San Jose has. General Manger Mike Grier said they have had conversations with the former Wild forward, Kunin but are expecting to let Addison go.

Addison, 24, was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins before the Wild acquired the defenseman in a trade that sent Jason Zuker to the Penguins. He spent four years with the Wild where he racked up five goals, 33 assists, and 38 points in 92 games. He had 22 power play points in his Wild career as well.
The 5-foot-11 defender started the 2023-24 season with the Wild and recorded five assists in that span. He was later traded to the Sharks for Adam Raska and a fifth round pick in the 2026 draft.
In his Sharks career, Addison recorded one goal and 12 points in 60 games and was a minus-35. The Sharks are expected to not bring him back next year.
Addison has been spending his summer back in Minnesota with other former Wild teammates like Brandon Duhaime and Connor Dewar. I would imagine Addison could get a minor league contract elsewhere before he decides to go the overseas route.
