The former Wild forward has been on fire in the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs after scoring his second goal of the series last night.

In what is to be his final chance at a Stanley Cup he has never won in his 19 year NHL career, Zach Parise has scored his second goal in the series for the Colorado Avalanche.

Parise, 39, signed a one-year deal with the Avalanche around the halfway point in the 2023-24 season. He was training back home in Minnesota before he signed with the Avalanche.

Now, in what is his last chance at a Stanley Cup, Parise has picked up goals in back-to-back games for the Avalanche.

Colorado lost the first game of the series to the Winnipeg Jets 7-6. Parise did not record a point in that game. The Avalanche have won the last two games both of which Parise has picked up a goal in.

The former Wild forward started the series playing on the Avalanche's top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen but played with Casey Mittelstadt, a Minnesota native and former Gopher, and Artturi Lehkonen last game.

The 5-foot-11 forward played nine seasons in Minnesota where he recorded 199 goals and 400 points in 558 career games with the Wild.
