Former Wild forward Connor Dewar is set to have offseason shoulder surgery.
Connor Dewar, the former Wild forward, will undergo offseason shoulder surgery. He is expected to be ready for training camp in September, David Alter of The Hockey News reported on Friday.
Dewar, 24, was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the NHL Trade Deadline this season in exchange for fourth-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft and forward Dmitry Ovchinnikov's contract. Ovchinnikov stayed in the Leafs organization with their AHL team.
In 17 games for the Maple Leafs, Dewar recorded one goal, four assists, 20 shots, and 29 hits. He averaged 12 minutes and 54 seconds for the Leafs in their bottom-six.
The former Wild forward will be a restricted free agent this summer, but will likely be back with Toronto. He played three seasons in Minnesota where he recorded 18 goals, 20 assists, 38 points, 188 shots, and 266 hits in 173 games.
