The former Wild forward Luke Kunin has signed a one-year extension to stay in San Jose worth $2,750,000 AAV.
Kunin, 26, was the 15th overall pick by the Minnesota Wild in 2016. He spent four years in the organization where he recorded 23 goals, 29 assists, and 52 points in 131 career NHL games.
The Wild traded Kunin to the Nashville Predators at the 2020 NHL Draft for a second-round pick and Nick Bonino. The Wild used that pick to draft Marat Khusnutdinov.
He was later traded by Nashville to San Jose for John Leonard and a 3rd-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Kunin has played two seasons in San Jose where he has recorded 16 goals, 15 assists, and 31 points in 108 games.
Now it has been reported that Kunin is near a one-year extension.
