The Colorado Avalanche picked up Brock Nelson in a trade and have now traded for the former Wild forward Charlie Coyle.
Coyle, 33, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Wild. He recorded 91 goals, 151 assists, and 242 points in 479 games. He was eventually traded to the Boston Bruins in 2019 for Ryan Donato.
In his Boston career, Coyle recorded 96 goals, 134 assists, and 230 points in 452 games. He recorded a career-high 25 goals and 60 points last year for Boston in 82 games.
The 6-foot-3 center has now been traded to Colorado for Minnesota native Casey Mittelstadt.
