ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild host the Los Angeles Kings tonight for the final game of their three game homestand before going out west for a road trip.
Kevin Fiala will make his return to Minnesota for the fourth time since the trade. He has one goal, four assists, and 11 shots against the Wild in three games at the Xcel Energy Center, as a member of the Kings.
In six career games against the Wild with LA, Fiala has two goals, six assists, and 20 shots.
There is no doubt he plays well against the Wild. Fiala spent four seasons with the Wild and racked up 79 goals, 107 assists, and 186 points in 215 games.
In his final season with the Wild, Fiala had 33 goals, 52 assists, and 85 points in 82 games. He currently has the franchise record for most assists in a single game with five and the most assists in a single period with four.
Fiala, 28, has spent the last three years with the Kings where he has recorded 58 goals, 98 assists, and 156 points in 163 games. He was traded for Brock Faber and the 19th overall pick in the 2022 NHL draft. The Wild selected Liam Ohgren with that pick.
