After taking only one shift in the third period last night, Wild forward Freddy Gaudreau will be out tonight against the Florida Panthers with an upper-body injury.
Gaudreau, 30, only played nine minutes and two seconds last night against the Lightning and collected most of those minutes in the first two periods. Gaudreau took a 23-second shift in the third period just three minutes in and did not return to the ice after that.
The 6-foot forward has played 34 games this season for the Wild and has recorded three goals and ten points after putting up 19 goals and 38 points in 82 games last season.
Wild head coach John Hynes didn't have an update on Gaudreau other than he is out for tonight's game. Adam Raska will draw into the lineup against the Panthers tonight to replace him.
