Wild revealed that defenseman Jake Middleton is out day-to-day with an injury.
ST. PAUL - With the Minnesota Wild (2-2-0) making a bunch of cuts to get the roster down to 30 players, the expected opening night lineup will likely play the last two preseason games.
Tonight, Jake Middleton will not play and is listed as day-to-day with an injury. Wild head coach John Hynes described his injury as "just a bruise." So Middleton won't be out for a long time.
In other injury news, Matt Boldy practiced with the team for the first time on Tuesday and could play Friday depending on how the week goes.
No new update on Graeme Clarke, who blocked a shot in Sunday's game. He remains out with a lower-body injury. Hynes said he will have a timetable on Clarke later on during the week.
Reese Johnson also skated with the Wild on Tuesday but will not play.
