ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild head coach John Hynes announced on Friday that Joel Eriksson Ek is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Hynes also said Mats Zuccarello will be out for three to four weeks and has been placed on the Injured Reserve (IR).
Eriksson Ek, 27, was injured in Thursday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens in the first period. He did not return to the game following his four shifts in the first period.
Zuccarello, 37, also left in the first period and did not return to the game. He was hit by a point shot from Wild's Brock Faber. Zuccarello was helped off the ice and did not return.
Despite being day-to-day, Eriksson Ek isn't ruled out for the Wild's game against the Dallas Stars on Saturday. There could be a chance that he plays.
