Wild center Joel Eriksson Ek got hurt in the game against the Seattle Kraken with under seven minutes left in the game last night.

Last night in Seattle the Wild walked away with a 5-2 win but lost arguably there most valuable player, Joel Eriksson Ek, to an injury.
It happened with about 6:30 left in the game. The Wild were on a four minute power play in a 5-2 game. Kirill Kaprizov caught a pass in the slot from Matt Boldy and shot one wide of Philipp Grubauer, Eriksson EK went to go retrieve the puck in the corner and got dumped by Seattle's Will Borgen.
Borgen's hit on Eriksson Ek sent the Wild center head first into the boards. Eriksson Ek turned his head and went into the boards leading with his left shoulder. He layed on the ice for a bit before being helped off the ice and down the tunnel. He did not return to the game after that hit.
After the game Wild head coach John Hynes told reporters that Eriksson Ek will be okay and the injury is not considered serious.
Eriksson Ek leads the Wild in goals with 28 and is second in points with 54 in just 58 games so losing Eriksson EK would be a massive loss for this team. The Wild are 7-1-1 since the All-Star break and are creeping closer to a playoff spot. Eriksson Ek has been a big part of that.
So it's good to hear that Eriksson Ek's injury isn't considered to be too serious.
