ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin said on Sunday that defenseman Jonas Brodin will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
Brodin, 31, left the Wild's last game against the Colorado Avalanche with a lower-body injury. He played 15:47 in the Wild's loss to the Avalanche. He played one shift in the third period but left after he blocked a shot by Martin Necas.
Guerin did not want to get into what is causing Brodin to be week-to-week, but it is safe to assume it was the shot block on Necas, considering he did not play after that.
That being said, Guerin anticipates that Brodin will be back by the end of the regular season.
