Kirill Kaprizov, Jonas Brodin, and Filip Gustavsson were all back on the ice this morning with the Wild.ST. PAUL - Finally some positive news for the Wild as Kirill Kaprizov, Filip Gustavsson, and Jonas Brodin were all practicing with the Wild this morning. Kaprizov and Brodin didn't participate in line rushes but there is a possibility they could play tomorrow against the Arizona Coyotes.
Gustavsson is also a possibility to start in tomorrow's game against the Coyotes. Gustavsson has missed the last six games, about to be seven after tonight's, with a lower-body injury but is progressing back quickly.
If Gustavsson isn't ready to play tomorrow the Wild will likely go back to Jesper Wallstedt who allowed seven goals in Dallas on Wednesday.
Kaprizov, 26, missed the last six games as well, about to be seven, with an upper-body injury after taking some cross-checks to the ribs by Winnipeg Jets' defender Brenden Dillon.
Brodin, 30, has missed the last 15 games with an upper-body injury after being checked from behind by Evander Kane in Edmonton on December 8th.
All three of them will provide a much-needed boost to this Wild club that has lost six of their last seven games. Brodin and Kaprizov stayed on the ice after morning skate to run through some contact drills. Wild head coach John Hynes said they could both play tomorrow depending on how they responded to the contract drills.
"Gus, Brodin and Kirill are all in the same boat," Hynes said. "Not a heavy workload, doing an extra now, and we'll see how they respond to that and see where they're at."
Nonetheless, the Wild will be without them tonight against the Philadelphia who are 3-4-3 in their last ten games but still hold onto a playoff spot in the East.
