After last night's hat trick, Kirill Kaprizov has now tied Marian Gaborik's franchise record.

ST. PAUL - After last night's three-goal game, Kirill Kaprizov has now tied Marian Gaborik for the Wild's franchise record for most hat tricks in a single season.

Kaprizov's 27th, 28th, and 29th goals of the year came in last night's game against the San Jose Sharks in a 4-3 win. It was his third hat trick of the year which tied Gaborik's record for most hat tricks in a single season.

Gaborik had three hat tricks during the 2002-03 season. He finished that season with 30 goals and 65 points in 81 games. Zach Parise also had three hat ticks during the 2015-16 season. He had 25 goals and 53 points in 70 games that season.

Kaprizov, 26, now has 24 multi-goal games in his career which is one shy of Parise for second all-time. Gaborik had 41 multi-goal games in 502 games.

Since February 7th, Kaprizov ranks second in the NHL in goals with 12 and tied for second in points with 21. He has played 13 games in that span.

Only Auston Matthews has more goals than Kaprizov in that span with 13 and Connor McDavid in points with 29.
