ST. PAUL - Kirill Kaprizov scored his 20th goal of the season last night in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. His 20th goal of the year marked the first time in franchise history that a Wild player has scored 20 or more goals in four straight seasons.

Zach Parise, Nino Niederreiter, Joel Eriksson Ek, Jason Zucker, Marian Gaborik, Brian Rolston, Kevin Fiala, and Eric Staal have scored 20 or more goals in three straight seasons but no one has ever scored 20 or more in four straight seasons until now.

The craziest thing about this is, Kaprizov has only played four years in the NHL.

"Which one? Oh, my goal? It’s nice play by Bolds and Ekky," Kaprizov said on his goal after hitting the post two times in the first two periods. "Net front. Nice shot by Bogo. I just, it was open net. Just shoot."

Kaprizov, 26, hit the post on two different chances in the first and second period. Both of which were high-danger scoring chances that beat Alex Nedeljkovic but the post stopped it. It felt like Kaprizov was due for a goal.

The three-time NHL All-Star is on pace for 34 goals and 80 points this season in 75 games if he plays the remaining 31 games for the Wild. It would mark his third straight 30 or more goal season and third straight 75 or more point season.
