Wild's Matt Boldy had an incredible tournament for Team USA but their hopes of winning a Gold Medal came up short after falling 1-0 to Czechia in the Quarterfinals.
USA's gold medal drought at Men's World Championships will move to 92 years. Despite the loss, Boldy was named the top player of the tournament for USA with two others.
Ottawa Senators' forward Brady Tkachuk and Columbus Blue Jackets' defenseman Zach Werenski were also named top players for USA.
As of now, Boldy still leads the tournament in points with 14 through eight games. He had six goals and eight assists. Tkachuk finished with seven goals and 13 points. Switzerland's Kevin Fiala or Nico Hischier could challenge Boldy for the tournament lead.
Fiala, a former Wild forward, has six goals and 11 points in six games. Switzerland also advanced to the Semi-Finals where they will play Canada.
