In yesterday's Pre-Tournament game, Matt Boldy picked scored for team USA. His goal came against Slovakia. The goaltender for Slovakia was Samuel Hlavaj.
The Wild signed Hlavaj not long ago to an entry-level contract. The 22-year old goaltender played in 28 games for HC Škoda Plzeň of the Czech Extraliga this season where he posted a 3.10 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
He made Slovakia's team for the 2024 Men's World Championships and started yesterday against USA. Slovakia lost that game 6-2.
