Minnesota Wild prospect Charlie Stramel is coming off of a career-year for Michigan State University.

The 6-foot-3 forward recorded nine goals, 18 assists and 27 points in 37 games for the Spartans during the 2024-25 season. He posted career highs in goals, points, assists, points and plus-minus.

Stramel, 20, started his colligate career at the University of Wisconsin but after two struggling years he transferred to Michigan State.

The transfer proved to be the right choice. Stramel played on the top line for the Spartans and played with Homer Baker Award Winner Isaac Howard. Howard beat out Wild prospect Zeev Buium for the trophy which is given to the top player in College Hockey.

Michigan State just announced its captains for the 2025-26 season. Stramel is one of three assistant captains.
