    ST. PAUL, Minn - The 2025-26 season is almost here and the Minnesota Wild announced its schedule for the upcoming year. The length of the Wild's season is 187 days which is the same as last year. 

    The Wild will open the season on the road against the St. Louis Blues on October 9th. Before returning back home on October 11th for the first home game of the season against the Columbus Blue Jackets

    Here are some notes about the schedule. 

    The Wild will play 14 back-to-backs this season. They had 12 last year. They play six back-to-backs on the road, one road game followed by a home game, six back-to-backs at home, and one home game followed by a road game. 

    Minnesota will go on a seven game road trip from Dec 27 to Jan 8. This is because of the IIHF Men's World Junior Championships that are hosted in Minnesota. 

    The longest homestand will be six games from Oct 25 to Nov 4.
