The NHL's Department of Player Safety has offered an in person hearing for Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman for his play on Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle.
The date and time of the hearing has not been scheduled.
Hartman has been suspended 4 times in his NHL career for a total of 7 games. He has also been fined 7 times in his career. He is expected to be given a lengthy suspension after this play.
A in person hearing means the suspension will be more than five games. If Hartman's hearing was over the phone, he would be suspended under five games.
The play resulted in Hartman getting a match penalty and was kicked out of the game. He finished the game with 19 penalty minutes.
