Recently acquired forward Graeme Clarke posted a photo on instagram after he was traded to Minnesota, of him in a Wild jersey as a kid.

Clarke, 23, was born in Waconia, Minnesota, which is about 40 miles west of the Xcel Energy Center, the home of the Wild.

Although he was born in Minnesota, Clarke moved to Canada and ended up playing junior hockey in Canada before he played for the Ottawa 67's of the OHL. He played three years with the 67's and played two years with Marco Rossi.

The older brother of Los Angeles Kings' 8th overall pick in the 2021 draft, has been playing in the American Hockey league in the New Jersey Devils organization.

Clarke has recorded 68 goals and 149 points in 218 career AHL games in the Devils organization. He was originally drafted by New Jersey in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He was taken five picks after the Wild drafted Adam Beckman, whom the Wild traded to get Clarke.

It is safe to say that Clarke is excited for the opportunity to play for the Wild.
