Jakub Lauko has been playing great for the Wild after being acquired in a trade from the Boston Bruins.
Lauko, 24, has played in four games for the Wild this year. He has one goal, nine shots, and eight hits for Minnesota. He ranks third on the team in expected goals and is first in expected goals per 60 minutes, according to MoneyPuck.
On Tuesday, in St. Louis, Lauko got his first goal with his new team. After having two goals and ten points in 60 games for the Bruins last year, Lauko told the media before the season that he thinks there is more in the tank for him.
He spent a lot of the off-season trying to find out places to score from. In just four games he is one goal away from tying last year's totals. Plus, Lauko has been great on the penalty kill for the Wild.
Acquiring Lauko is looking like a great pickup for the Wild so far.
