A report surfaced yesterday by Fox 9 Sports that current Wild General Manager Bill Guerin, is expected to be USA's GM for the 2026 Olympics.
That report was confirmed this morning when USA Hockey's social media page announced it.
Back in 2017, USA Hockey announced that Guerin and Chris Drury would join USA Hockey's board in management roles. In December of 2021, USA Hockey announced Guerin would the the General Manager for the 2022 Olympics before the NHL pulled the plug on their players competing in the Olympics.
Drury was named the Assistant General Manager to Guerin. Now with the NHL going back to the Olympics, USA Hockey is expected to name Guerin as the General Manager for Team USA for the 2025 NHL Four Nations Face-Off and the General Manager for the 2026 United States Olympic Team.
