All signs point to Kirill Kaprizov and Jared Spurgeon returning to the lineup.
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild held a practice on Wednesday and are set to host the Utah Hockey Club for a game on Thursday night.
The Wild have some positive news surrounding the team.
Kirill Kaprizov and Jared Spurgeon were full participants during practice and seem likely to return to the lineup on Thursday.
Kaprizov, 27, has missed the last 12 games with a lower-body injury. He was in line rushes with Mats Zuccarello and Marco Rossi so all signs point to him returning to the lineup.
Spurgeon, 35, missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury and skated in line rushes with Declan Chisholm.
After practice ended, Wild head coach John Hynes had a chat with the two players then came and spoke to the media. He said he is cautiously optimistic that the two will play on Thursday.
