On Friday, Vladislav Firstov recorded his first career pro goal in the 7-2 loss to the Hersey Bears. He followed it up with another goal on Saturday in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Bears.
Firstov, 22, was a second-round pick by the Wild in 2019. He played in 82 career NCAA games for the University of Connecticut Huskies where he put up 26 goals and 58 points before signing his entry-level contract with the Wild back in 2022.
After playing in only nine AHL games across parts of two seasons, the Wild loaned Firstov to the KHL to play for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. He notched 28 goals and 61 points in 114 career games across two seasons in the KHL and decided to come back over to the AHL.
In six games for Iowa this season, Firstov has two goals, three points, nine shots, and one power-play goal.
