The Minnesota Wild (23-23-5) activated Connor Dewar from injured reserve this afternoon ahead of their road match with the Vegas Golden Knights (31-15-6) tonight. Marcus Foligno took Dewar's place on injured reserve Monday in order to keep recent forward recall Adam Beckman on the active roster.

Dewar will play tonight in Vegas after missing the past six games due to a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old was injured in the Wild's win over the Panthers in Florida on Jan. 19.

Dewar, who is a pending restricted free agent, has seven goals and nine points with a 10:57 average time-on-ice total in 45 games this season. The Wild, who have been strong on the penalty kill as of late, will have one of their key penalty killers back in the lineup during a crucial stretch of the season.

Foligno suffered a lower-body injury in the Wild's win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday when he was tripped in the second period by Marcus Pettersson. Foligno returned in the third period, but the veteran winger went back down the tunnel and didn't return in the game after playing one shift.

Foligno did not travel with the team and will miss Wednesday's road contest against the Arizona Coyotes, too, but is eligible to return for Saturday's home game versus the Buffalo Sabres.
