    Wild Announce Front Office Promotions in Hockey Operations Department

    The Minnesota Wild announced today four front office promotions.

    ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin announced today four front office promotions for the Wild's Hockey of Operations department. 

    Wild have promoted Mat Sells, Michael Murray and Chris Kelleher to Assistant General Managers. 

    They also promoted Matt Hendricks to General Manager of the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. 

    Sells will be entering his sixth season with Minnesota. He served as the Vice President of Hockey Strategy for three seasons from 2021 to 2024. He will now be responsible for salary cap management, player contract research and negotiations, analytics and hockey strategy and Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance.

    Kelleher joined the Wild's organization in 2008 and is entering his 18th season with the Wild. He served as Director of Player Personnel for two seasons from 2022 to 2024. 

    He will oversee the Wild’s professional scouting and player personnel efforts in North America and Europe and support the team’s preparation for the NHL trade deadline and free agency. Per the press release.

    Murray joined the Wild in 2020 and is entering his fifth season with the team. He was the Director of Hockey Operations and General Manager for the Iowa Wild for three seasons from 2021 to 2024. 

    He will be responsible for scheduling, NHL transactions and player contract research and negotiations and will continue to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Minnesota and Iowa hockey operations departments. 

    Lastly is Hendricks. He is about to start his sixth season with the Minnesota Wild. He served as the Assistant Director of Player Development for five seasons from 2019 to now. 

    Now as General Manager of the Iowa Wild, he will be responsible for the day-to-day hockey operations of the American Hockey League club. He will also continue to support the Wild’s player development department.
