The Wild haven't had an alternate jersey in seven years since they used to sport the solid red jersey before making it the home jersey and switching the solid green jersey that said 'Minnesota' across the chest, to the alternate.

In fact the last time the Wild repped an alternate jersey, other than the Winter Classic jerseys and the Reverse Retro's that every team in the NHL had, Jaromir Jagr was still playing in the NHL with the Florida Panthers.
There has been mixed emotions when it has come to fans wanting an alternate jersey. The Wild were maybe going to have one last year but the NHL launched the Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys so the Wild held off of announcing an alternate jersey.
But the Reverse Retro 2.0 eventually sparked the idea of the new alternate jersey as it looks almost identical.
The Wild can't officially bring back the North Stars logo for their alt's but they can bring back the colors that were associated with the North Stars which is what they have done.
Out of the 41 home games this year the Wild are expected to wear the new alternate about 15 times starting on October 21st, against the Blue Jackets.
