According to MoneyPuck.com, the Minnesota Wild have a 22.5 percent chance of making the playoffs. If they beat the St. Louis Blues tonight in regulation, their chances of making the playoffs would go up 5.2 percent to a 27.7 percent chance.
If they beat the Blues in overtime their chances go to 26.6 percent but if they lose to the Blues in extra time their odds go down to exactly 20 percent.
A loss to the Blues in regulation and the Wild's chances at making the playoffs would drop to 14.6 percent.
Safe to say this is a very important game for the Wild.
"This is not just one of 82," Wild head coach John Hynes told the media in St. Louis this morning.
