According to the NHL Media Site, Kirill Kaprizov has been placed on the injured reserve list.

ST. PAUL - According to the NHL Media Site, the Minnesota Wild have placed star forward Kirill Kaprizov on the Injured Reserve List (IR). The team has not made an announcement yet. 

This is retroactive to his injury before the break so the Wild could activate Kaprizov before their game on Thursday. But that isn't likely. 

The Wild placed Kaprizov on the IR so they could make room to recall a forward and a defenseman for the road trip. Brendan Gaunce appears to be the forward that will be recalled. 

David Jiricek is likely the defenseman who will be recalled with Jared Spurgeon out with a lower-body injury. Carson Lambos could be recalled over Jiricek though.
