The veteran forward vanished from the bench after logging limited first-period ice time, leaving Minnesota short-handed while team officials remain silent on his injury status.
Minnesota Wild forward Nick Foligno exited Tuesday night's game against the Buffalo Sabres after playing the opening period.
Foligno was not on the Wild's bench for the entirety of the second period after logging 3:29 of ice time in the first.
The veteran forward's final shift of the opening period came before the first intermission, and he did not return to the bench when Minnesota came out for the second.
Foligno, 38, has one goal and three shots in three games. He is ruled out with an upper-body injury.
Foligno entered the night playing on Minnesota's fourth line alongside Marcus Foligno and Michael McCarron.
