ST. PAUL - During Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings, forward Mats Zuccarello recorded his 100th career goal in a Minnesota Wild sweater.

Zuccarello, 37, has 100 goals, 223 assists, and 323 points in 379 games in his Wild career. He has 214 goals, 464 assists, and 678 points in 890 career NHL games.

His goal on Monday gave the Wild a 2-1 lead in the third period on the power play and eventually turned out to be the game-winning goal.

There was a lot of emotion in his celebration.

“I don't know. I just felt my game was terrible. I couldn't feel the whole game and bounce and then I get a goal,” Zuccarello said on when the last time he has celebrated like that. “It means a lot for everyone in here, like when you lose like that and then everyone feeling a little like it doesn't go the way that we want it to go. So I know I'm old but I can still be happy and emotional when we as a team play hard and we get a win that way.”

    Jonas Brodin listed as day-to-day.

With the game-winner, Zuccarello became the 10th player in franchise history to record 100 goals with the team.

“He’s a guy that cares so much. Brings a lot to our team,” Wild head coach John Hynes said on Zuccarello’s celebration. “He wants to be able to produce and he could have been a huge difference in the game against St. Louis I think. There was one where he had that 2-on-1 where had the glove save. They made the save. He had another one, made a backhand play to Vinnie, if that connects on Vinnie, it’s in the back of the net, the game’s probably 3-3. But he came through at a key time for us. It’s nice to be able to see the guys be able to have that type of emotion after a goal.”
