Jesper Wallstedt stonewalled Philadelphia while Danila Yurov’s relentless pressure fueled a balanced offensive attack, solidifying Minnesota’s status as a dominant road force in this gritty victory.

The Minnesota Wild (11-3-3) continued their strong start to the 2026-27 season Tuesday night, holding off the Philadelphia Flyers (4-9-4) for a 4-2 victory to extend their point streak to six games.

Matt Boldy, Michael McCarron, Joel Eriksson Ek and Danila Yurov scored for Minnesota, while Jesper Wallstedt made 23 saves to help the Wild improve to 11-3-3 on the season.

The victory also pushed Minnesota's impressive road record to 7-3-2 as the Wild continued to find ways to collect points away from home. They are first in the NHL in road points and first in road games played.

Boldy finished with two points in the win, continuing his strong start to the season. The 25-year-old forward has been an important part of Minnesota's offensive success, providing consistent production alongside the team's other top offensive players.

McCarron and Eriksson Ek also contributed goals, giving Minnesota offensive production from multiple areas of its lineup.

Yurov, meanwhile, made his presence felt beyond the scoresheet.

The young Russian forward scored a goal and drew three penalties, providing Minnesota with three power-play opportunities. His ability to force Philadelphia into taking penalties was another example of the impact he can make with his speed and puck possession.

In goal, Wallstedt continued his impressive start to the season.

The 23-year-old netminder turned aside 23 shots to improve his record to 10-2-3. Wallstedt has emerged as a major contributor to Minnesota's early-season success, providing stability between the pipes while the Wild continue navigating injuries throughout their lineup.

Per NHLStats, Wallstedt (55 GP) became the third-fastest goaltender in Wild history to record 30 NHL wins, behind Kaapo Kahkonen (47 GP) and Niklas Backstrom (50 GP).

Minnesota has now earned at least one point in six consecutive games, improving to 11-3-3 through its first 17 contests.

With seven of their 11 victories coming away from home, the Wild have established themselves as one of the NHL's stronger road teams early in the season.

Tuesday's victory wasn't just another two points in the standings. It was another example of Minnesota finding a way to finish the job and keep its early-season momentum rolling.
