Wild make it official. Michael Milne has been recalled from Iowa.

ST. PAUL - It was first assumed on Tuesday night when Mikey Milne was spotted in the Wild's press box watching the club's 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

But it is now official. Milne has been recalled by the Wild ahead of their three game road trip.

“He’s played really well. I think from the start of the season he’s been the most consistent player that’s been down there," Wild head coach John Hynes said on Milne. "Fast, plays hard, he’s producing down there. He’s been consistently the top forward there, so it’s good to see."

The Wild are set for a 9:30 start time in San Jose on Thursday and have a 9:00 start time in Anaheim on Friday before they go to Chicago on Sunday to play the Blackhawks.

Milne, 22, has spent the last two years in the AHL and is tied for the Iowa Wild's lead in goals with four and is second in points with eight behind Travis Boyd this year.

Now could Milne play on this road trip?

"So, based on his performance, his style of game, and the way he’s played, he’s the guy that got the recall and yeah, there’s a good chance he could get in," Hynes said. "I’d still like to see some more from certain guys. I thought there was some light players tonight (Tuesday), so we’ll make some decisions. But we’ll see.”

I ranked Milne as the Wild's 15th prospect.
