ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (16-4-4) announced on Tuesday before their game against the Vancouver Canucks, that Jonas Brodin and Jakub Lauko have been placed on the Injured Reserve list (IR).
In addition to this, the Wild recalled Liam Ohgren and Jesper Wallstedt from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Brodin, 31, has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury. Lauko has also missed the last three games with a lower-body injury.
When a player is placed on the Injured Reserve, they are ineligible to compete in NHL games for a period of not less than seven days.
Which means both Brodin and Lauko could be eligible to come back this weekend when the Wild go to California.
Lauko skated on his own this morning and seems to be the closest player available.
"Yeah, I would say he’s more day to day," Wild head coach John Hynes said on Lauko. "Brods I don’t know yet because they’re evaluating and I don’t know what it is and what the timeline should be."
