The Wild have placed Mats Zuccarello on the Long-Term Injured Reserve

ST. PAUL - Before their three-game road trip, the Minnesota Wild (16-4-4) made a few roster moves.

Defenseman Jonas Brodin and forward Jakub Lauko were placed on the Injured Reserve, Mats Zuccarello was placed on the Long-Term Injured Reserve and Liam Ohgren and Jesper Wallstedt were recalled from the American Hockey League (AHL).

Zuccarello, 37, was injured on Nov, 14 against the Montreal Canadiens. He has yet to practice since and saw the team doctor on Monday.

On Tuesday, the Wild announced they had placed Zuccarello on LTIR.

Wild head coach John Hynes said at morning skate on Tuesday that Zuccarello has begun some off-ice activities.

"Not yet," Hynes said on if there is a timeline for Zuccarello. "I think it’s going to be now, say this week getting into the activity and getting himself moving around again. And then I think next week we might have a better feel on if we’re going to advance that to on the ice and there’ll be a whole process with that as well."
