ST. PAUL - The Wild announced this morning that they have placed forward Pat Maroon on the Injured Reserve list. They have recalled forward Jake Lucchini from Iowa in a corresponding move.
Maroon, 35, has played in all 49 games this season for the Wild where he has recorded four goals and 16 points. Maroon also is tied for the team lead in fights with six.
The 6-foot-3 forward played in the Wild's last game but only got five shifts for a total of 4:15 of ice time and did not return after the first period.
The power forward could return to action when the Wild play the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday the 7th but it is likely expected he will miss that game.
So as of now, the Wild have four forwards on their injured reserve list since adding Maroon. Vinni Lettieri, Adam Raska, and Connor Dewar remain on the IR.
