Wild prospect Riley Heidt has been invited to Canada's roster for the World Junior Summer Showcase.
The showcase will be held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan from July 26-Aug. 3, and include practices and games against prospects from the United States, Sweden and Finland.
The event will help teams begin their evaluations for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa from Dec. 26-Jan. 5, 2025.
Heidt, 19, somehow did not make Canada's team last year despite ranking tied for first in the WHL in assists as an 18-year-old with Connor Bedard. He went on to torch the WHL again and will be given a chance to make the Wild's roster come the start of the season.
