Riley Heidt has been on fire since going back to the Western Hockey League (WHL) after the Minnesota Wild released him from their training camp roster.
Heidt, 19, has one goal and five assists in three games for the Prince George Cougars of the WHL. He was just named their 30th captain in team history and is the all-time point getter in Cougars history.
The Wild's 64th overall pick from the 2023 NHL Draft has recorded 86 goals, 200 assists, and 286 points in 224 career WHL games across five seasons. He had 37 goals, 80 assists, and 117 points in 66 games last year for Prince George.
If he can keep this up, Heidt is on pace for 21 goals, 107 assists, and 128 points in 64 games.
