For the second straight year, one of the Wild's top prospects has been cut from Team Canada for the IIHF World Championships.

Riley Heidt did not make it last year and has just been cut again from Canada. Last year Heidt recorded 37 goals, 80 assists, and 117 points in 66 WHL games for the Prince Geroge Cougars.

Heidt, 19, has 13 goals, 24 assists, and 37 points in 22 WHL games this year for the Cougars.

In his WHL career, Heidt has 98 goals, 219 assists, and 317 points in 243 games.

Despite Canada not having enouch scoring last year in the tournament, they still decided to cut one of the most prolific scorers in the WHL for the second striaght year.
