One of the Wild's top prospects entered the weekend with no goals in ten games this year. He ended up finishing Friday's game in North Dakota with three goals in Denver's 5-2 win.
Zeev Buium was drafted by the Wild with the 12th overall pick from the 2024 NHL Draft. He entered Friday's game with ten assists in ten games. He now has three goals and 13 points in 11 games.
Buium, 18, became the first University of Denver defenseman to score a hat trick since Ryan Caldwell on Feb. 14, 2004 vs. Minnesota State.
The 6-foot defenseman had 11 goals, 39 assists, and 50 points in 42 games last year for the National Champions.
