ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild made a handful of moves today. First, forward Gustav Nyquist was acquired from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick.

The Wild sent Liam Ohgren down as the corresponding roster move. Ohgren has one goal and four points in 23 games this year.

Before the Wild's game on Friday, the team announced that defenseman Zach Bogosian was day-to-day with a lower-body injury and would not play against the Colorado Avalanche.

Jonas Brodin got hurt in the game as well with a lower-body injury, and he did not return to the game. The Wild have recalled defenseman David Jiricek from the Iowa Wild.

Additionally, Marat Khusnutdinov has been sent down to the Iowa Wild of the AHL for the first time in his career. He has two goals and seven points in 52 games this year and has been on the Wild's penalty kill all season.

Khusnutdinov, 22, has played 73 games in his NHL career and has recorded three goals and 11 points. He needed to play in seven more NHL games before requiring waivers.

Sending him down will open a spot on the penalty kill for someone like Brendan Gaunce, Devin Shore, or the newly acquired Nyquist. It also provides a chance for Khusnutdinov to find the offensive side of his game down in Iowa.

The 5-foot-10 center has one goal and three points in his last ten games after going 15 consecutive games without a point and 32 games with only one point.
