The Wild announced they have reassigned Sammy Walker to Iowa and have recalled Adam Raska.

Adam Raska could make his Wild debut tonight in Columbus.

The Minnesota Wild have made a roster move ahead of tonight's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road. After playing two games for the Wild since his recent call-up, the Wild have sent Sammy Walker down to Iowa for a different forward.

Adam Raska was acquired in the Calen Addison deal earlier this year when the Wild sent Addison to the San Jose Sharks for a 2026 fifth-round pick along with Raska.

Raska, 22, has been playing in the AHL this season for the Iowa Wild where and has put up one goal in 20 games with 61 penalty minutes. The seventh-round pick by the Sharks in 2020 is a hard-nosed power forward who's physical.

Walker, 24, has no points in four NHL games this year and will return to Iowa where he has five goals and 19 points in 29 games.

The Minnesota native is a skilled forward who is much more suited for a top-six role. With his stint with the Wild, he was playing on the fourth line. So calling up Raska makes sense as he is more of a power forward who is better suited for a fourth-line checking role type spot.

The Wild also activated Mats Zuccarello from the Injured Reserve list so we will see if Raska plays tonight or not.
